Eston Trail Run 2026

Take part in the Eston Trail Run, held on the final day of the Eston Show, a celebrated agricultural event running for over 50 years. Runners can enjoy the best of both worlds: the excitement of the show and the beauty of the trails.

Starting bright and early before the show opens, participants head into the Tarda Game Reserve, a sprawling 3,000-hectare reserve. The terrain is beginner-friendly yet incredibly scenic, offering a rare chance to spot wildlife such as giraffe, blou wildebeest, kudu, impala, waterbuck, and even the protected black rhinos. The trails also showcase the reserve’s diverse bird and plant life, making this run a truly unique outdoor experience.

After the run, runners return to the Eastern Showgrounds to explore the festival, which includes a farmers’ craft market, diverse local food stalls, and an expansive kids’ funzone for little ones to enjoy. Entry to the show is included with your running ticket. Prize-giving follows, celebrating the achievements of all participants and offering a warm, festive atmosphere among the many stalls.
