Mont-Aux-Sources Ultra Trail 2027
Available Races
50KM Ultra Trail
The 50km race is both a challenging and rewarding one for runners. Starting at the race village in Mahai campsite, the race takes the runners up through the Mahai valley to Witsieshoek Mountain Lodge. From there they head along technical jeep track to Sentinel car park. A mix of paved and rugged single-track guides them towards the memorable chain ladders and then onto the escarpment. The race then heads to the top of Tugela Falls, down the gully and then rejoins the original race which takes runners back down to the finish line and race village.
21KM Trail Run
The 21km race is reverting to the traditional race which was introduced in 2021. This race will give our participants a taste of the 50km as it will start from Mahai campsite, straight up through the magical Mahai Valley and up to Witsieshoek aid station (which will be the turning point), before runners head back down passing Gudu Bush then back down to home base.
