About this event
The Inanda Trail Run offers runners the opportunity to experience one of KwaZulu-Natal’s most unique trail destinations while supporting the incredible work of the Inanda Trail Running Club. Based at eNanda Adventures, the club has been a driving force within the local community, using trail running to empower and inspire young people, making this event about far more than simply covering kilometres.
Starting from the club’s home base, the routes venture into the bushveld surrounding Inanda Dam, following a rewarding mix of flowing single-track and jeep track through natural bush and agricultural landscapes. Much of the course hugs the dam’s shoreline, with each winding headland revealing fresh perspectives across the water and the surrounding hills.
The constantly changing scenery is one of the highlights of the day. Open stretches along the water give way to rolling terrain and elevated viewpoints, where sweeping mountain vistas frame the dam below. The varied terrain keeps runners engaged throughout, combining runnable sections with enough undulation to remind you that you’re on a genuine trail adventure.
