About this event
Founded in 1963 and growing from a preparatory school into a full prep-to-matric campus, Treverton offers a scenic and welcoming setting for a day on the trails. Runners will move through wide open grasslands, pockets of forest, rolling farmlands and past tranquil dams, all set against the natural charm of the Midlands.
The routes are designed to be flowing and enjoyable, with gentle climbs, rewarding views and smooth descents that bring you back toward the race village and college grounds. Expect a mix of open spaces and shaded sections, varied terrain, and a true countryside trail experience from start to finish.
This is an approachable event — perfect for newcomers wanting to try trail running, while still offering enough variety for those looking to run confidently and push their pace.
Join us for the very first edition of this event and be part of the start of a new Midlands trail tradition.

Did the Medium Course in 2026 AttendedThe course was a good mix of challenging and enjoyable. The beautiful views made it easy to push through the challenging parts. One thing that could be improved was where the route markers were placed. There were one or two times where I nearly got lost when the route markers where placed in a way that it was unclear where to go. Aside from that, I had an amazing race experience!

Did the Short Course in 2026 AttendedSHORT DISTANCE PATH NOT CLEARLY MARKED It was fun and enjoyable However being a run with multiple distances the paths were not clearly marked. We ran the shortest distance as beginners but somewhere along the trail we were directed onto another path and ended up running almost a km more throwing off all our stars for the race.
