Entering your children (dependents)

Children under 18 don't need their own email address. You add them to your account as dependents, enter them in races, and get their race emails yourself.

How to add a dependent

1. Click your name at the top of the page and choose Account Settings.
2. On the Account tab, find My Dependents and click Manage.
3. Click Add Dependent.
4. Fill in First Name, Surname, Your Relationship, Date of Birth and Gender.
5. Under Optional Details, add their ID / Passport Number, Phone, emergency contact and medical details if you like.
6. Click Add Dependent.

You can also add a child while entering: on the Register page, click + Add a dependent under 18. They are saved to your account.

How to link a child someone else already added

1. Go to My Dependents (Account Settings, My Dependents, Manage).
2. Open Link an existing dependent.
3. Search by ID Number, or by Name and Date of Birth, and click Search.
4. Choose your relationship next to the right child and click Link.

This lets two parents both manage the same child.

How to enter a dependent in a race

1. On the event page, click Group registration → or Register Now.
2. If you aren't racing, click Not me on your own card.
3. Click + Add a dependent under 18, then click your child's name to fill in their details.
4. Choose their race and extras, accept the terms and pay.

How to hand over the account when they turn 18

1. Go to My Dependents. A child who has turned 18 is marked 18+ - Action Required.
2. Click Generate Claim Link.
3. Click Copy and send the link to them.
4. They open it, fill in their own Email, Password and Confirm Password on the Claim Your Account page, and click Claim Account.
5. From then on they log in themselves.

You can generate a claim link before they turn 18 too, if they want their own login.

Good to know

• Dependents must be under 18. Anyone 18 or older needs their own account and email address.
• A dependent who has turned 18 can't be entered in races until they claim their account.
• A claim link works for 7 days. Generate a new one if it expires.
• Your children's entries are on My Events under Dependents' Registrations.
• Their confirmation and race emails come to you.
• If you leave out their emergency contact, yours is used.

Common questions

It says my child must be under 18

Dependents are for children under 18. An older child needs their own account: they sign up with their own email, or you generate a claim link if they are already on your account.

My child's claim link has expired

Links last 7 days. Go to My Dependents and click Generate Claim Link again.

My partner and I both want to manage our child

One of you adds the child. The other goes to My Dependents, uses Link an existing dependent, searches by the child's ID number or name and date of birth, and clicks Link.
