You control how your name appears on public pages, and you can delete your account at any time. This guide covers both.
How to hide your name on public pages
- Click your name at the top of the page and choose Account Settings.
- Open the Privacy tab.
- Tick Anonymize my data on public pages.
- Click Save.
Your name, club and city are hidden from public race results and public reviews. You show as "Anonymous Athlete". Organisers you have entered with still see your real details.
How to stop research questions
- Open Account Settings, then the Privacy tab.
- Tick Don't ask me marketing questions.
- Click Save.
We sometimes ask one or two anonymous questions after you enter (for example about shoes or nutrition). This stops them. Answers you already gave are kept.
How to delete your account
- Open Account Settings, then the Delete account tab.
- Click Delete Account.
- Type your Password and click Delete Account. If you sign in with Google, click Confirm with Google instead.
Good to know
- Deleting your account does not cancel or refund any entries. Speak to the organiser first if you want to withdraw from a race.
- If you only want fewer emails, change your email settings instead. See "Choosing which emails you get".
- You can read our Privacy Policy from the link on the sign-up page.
Common questions
How do I remove my name from race results?
Tick Anonymize my data on public pages on the Privacy tab of Account Settings and click Save.
Can I get my account back after deleting it?
No. Your details are wiped straight away. You can sign up again with the same email, but it will be a new, empty account.
Who can see my medical details?
Only the organisers of events you enter. They are shared with the event's medical team so they can help you on race day.
