You decide which emails you get from RaceConnect and from organisers. Change them in your account settings, or from the link at the bottom of an email.
How to change your notification settings
- Click your name at the top of the page and choose Account Settings.
- Open the Notifications tab.
- Tick or untick:
- Registration confirmations: the email when you enter a race.
- Race reminders: reminders before your races (3 months, 2 months, 1 month, 3 weeks, 2 weeks, 1 week and 1 day before).
- New race announcements: new races from organisers you follow.
- Monthly roundup: a monthly email of upcoming races. Choose Provinces and Disciplines for it, or leave them all unticked to use your race history.
- Click Save preferences.
How to stop following an organiser
- Open Account Settings and the Notifications tab.
- Under Organizations you follow, click Unfollow next to the organiser.
To follow one, click Follow on their event page or organiser page, or tick Send me news about future races from them when you enter.
How to use the preferences link in an email
- At the bottom of a campaign or roundup email, click Manage preferences. You don't need to log in.
- Under From organisers, untick Campaign emails from organisers to stop all of them, or untick Campaigns or New race announcements for one organiser.
- Under From RaceConnect, tick or untick New race announcements from organisers you follow and The monthly roundup.
- Click Save, or Stop all of these to stop every one of them at once.
Good to know
- The monthly roundup is off until you switch it on.
- If Registration confirmations is unticked, you won't get confirmation emails when you enter. Tick it if your confirmations aren't arriving.
- For a child on your account, their race emails come to you.
Common questions
How do I stop marketing emails but keep my race emails?
Click Manage preferences in any campaign email and click Stop all of these. Race confirmations and reminders are not on that page.
I stopped emails but want them back
Open Manage preferences from an older email, tick what you want and click Save. Or tick them under Account Settings, Notifications.
Why am I getting emails from an organiser I don't follow?
Organisers you have entered a race with can send you campaign emails. Click Manage preferences in their email and untick Campaigns for them.
